RSS: The New Killer App for Educators. Normally when I think of an App I think of a little icon on my phone for playing games, checking weather, or checking fantasy football scores. I guess I wouldn't think of RSS of an App. Chapter 5 does a good job explaining all the functions of RSS (especially Google Reader). App is short for Application, right? Well that is exactly what RSS is, its an application used to find filtered information on the Internet. The chapter tells readers how RSS can be used for reading student weblogs, assigning research to students, reading news, searches, and vanity searches. (The paragraph on Vanity Searches really had me wondering if anyone is posting things about me, my blog, etc.)
And I always thought Angry Birds was a killer app.

Perhaps the best way you could use this is finding resources that discuss Angry Birds.

I agree with your comments re: RSS... That said, I couldn't resist the Angry Bird reference... Star Wars is absolutely addicting!
