I'm working on trying to incorporate these web 2.0 tools in my classes but I guess implementation has been pretty slow. Its not because I don't have good ideas, its more because I am extremely busy. I'm teaching a new class that I've never taught before (IT Essentials) and I'm learning that I am prepping more than an hour for each lesson.
I think I can work with Social Bookmarking in my Sports and Entertainment Management class. If I use a website like Diigo, have the students sign up for "our class" and then make it a grade to have them post one article every week that has something to do with the curriculum we are talking about.
After reading chapter six another thing I thought about was setting up a Twitter for my classes. I really incorporate a teacher website into my daily routine and I could put a link to a twitter account with updates as well. Do high school students use Twitter frequently? I may have to ask my classes!

It will be interesting to learn the results when you ask your students if they use Twitter. They certainly are well versed in using texting, and it's not a far stretch for them to be using twitter as well.
What do you think are some ways that Twitter can enhance your students understanding?
