This chapter discussed three multi-media formats that were all relatively new to me. Of the three, I really liked podcasting. I think this is such an effective tool to use with Kindergarten students. My students don't have the ability to read more than sight words or words they are able to sound out (although we began working on consonant blends this week). Using a podcast we can get reminders, messages, questions, or assignments out to students. I actually shared my podcast with my students on Monday. They loved it. It was visually effective and they were able to respond to the question I had asked in it. Now I just need to take the time to create a podcast, and get parents on board to help their children see the podcast.

That would be great to get parents on board - as long as they all have internet connections. Have you thought about having your little guys create a podcast in class?
